Who WE ARE

We’re Oman-based explorers sharing the adventures we live every weekend whether it’s chasing wind, riding waves,  scaling cliffs, or sleeping under the stars.

Join us for real off-road expeditions in our rugged Land Cruisers, no filters, no fluff, just raw Oman.

What We Do

We take you off the beaten path, surfing hidden breaks, climbing towering walls, navigating rugged landscapes, and immersing in local culture. Whether it’s water, rock, or desert, Janoob is about raw adventure, real connections, and unforgettable moments.

Our commitment

We go big on adventure and light on impact! Janoob trips respect nature, leave no trace, and always give back; A portion of every cost supports local communities, keeping the wild wild and the people strong.

Our values

Raw & Real

No filters, no fluff! We show the beauty and the grit. Muddy tires, windy tents, salty hair, and real smiles.

led by passion

We live this lifestyle. Every trip is something we do, with or without our guests.

Meet the team

Originally from Egypt, Ismail grew up between the Western Desert and the Red Sea. Camping, long drives, salt on skin, sand in everything - the outdoors was never a hobby, it was just life.

Desert terrain feels like home to him. He surfs, kitesurfs, and has a serious (borderline unhealthy) obsession with Land Cruisers - especially the old ones, in all shapes and sizes.

When he first came to Oman, something clicked. The mountains dropping into the sea, the endless dunes, the quiet wadis - he fell in love with the land and the way life moves here.

Through Janoob, Ismail wants to share that feeling of freedom he found early on: the kind that shifts your perspective, slows you down, and reconnects you to something real.

Ismail El Hamawy

They call him the mountain goat - and for good reason. Ahmed feels most at peace halfway up a cliff face, studying rock lines and chasing new routes across Oman.

Deeply familiar with the country’s mountains and terrain, he moves through them with quiet confidence. But what really drives him is introducing others to climbing - watching someone touch rock for the first time and realize what they’re capable of.

Ahmed loves showing people his country, the places he calls home, and the landscapes that shaped him.
